How do I place an order for Cigala's Spain Rices Catering?

You can do so by contacting us using the Catering Form.

How far in advance should I book my paella catering order for my event?

We recommend our customers to book their catering orders at least 1-3 months in advance. This allows us to prepare the right amount of food for oyur event. The bigger your guest count, the more time in advance you should aim to place your catering order. What is the minimum number of guests required for catering?

Our minimum guest catering orders is 10 guests.

Do you offer showcooking/on-site preparation, or is it delivery-only?

Most of the time we only delivery and reserve showcooking for our catering orders. If you'd like a showcooking experience for your delivery instead, please contact us.

What Is Your Return Policy?

If you're dissatisfied with your order for any reason, please contact us via phone or e-mail and mention the reason for your dissatisfaction. We'll make it up to you :)

What payment methods do you accept, and is a deposit required?

We accept payments only through credit, debit cards for samples, standard dishes, and platters. For catering, we accept ACH payments. All orders done over the phone require a 20% deposit before we get started.

How long does delivery take?

Standard delivery takes 2 days, express delivery arrives the same day if you order before 2pm est.

Where is Cigalas's based?

We are based in Birmingham, AL, USA.

Is pick-up available for my order?

No, only delivery is available for samples, standard orders, and platters. This ensures we keep your food as fresh as possible.

What is included with my delivery?

Your order will come with Standard serving utensils, and will be bagged well for your convenience. 

Are there delivery fees?

Yes, standard deliveries are $5 and express deliveries are $10.

Can I place an order over the phone?

Yes, you can call us at (205) 586-0294 to place an order over the phone.

Are dishes gluten free?

Yes, our core paella and rice dishes are naturally gluten free, as they are built on 100% rice with no wheat, barley, rye, or gluten-containing thickeners/additives in the traditional preparation. Common ingredients like saffron, olive oil, vegetables, meats, and seafood are gluten-free by nature.

However:

  • Some optional add-ins (e.g., certain chorizos or processed stocks) could introduce trace gluten— we use gluten-free alternatives when requested.
  • Cross-contamination is minimized in our dedicated catering setup, but if you have celiac disease or severe allergies, please inform us during booking so we can take extra precautions (separate prep, certified gluten-free ingredients).

We happily customize for gluten-free, dairy-free, or other dietary needs!

Which potential allergens are in the food?

Our Valenciana Paella has celery, Mixed and Seafood Paellas consists of celery, crustaceans and mollusks.

Please inform us of any allergens or dietary restrictions before placing your order. our kitchen handles multiple ingredients, and we cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergen traces.

What’s the difference between sample, standard order, platter and catering?

A sample is a small bowl-sized amount for you to try our cuisine. You can contact us to try these samples. A standard order is food that serves one person. A Platter is a bigger dish enough for two people. Catering is a high volume of food for groups of people or an event.

How many people can a dish vs a platter feed?

A standard dish feeds 1 person and a platter si enough for two people. You can order up to 3 platters max in an order.
